Let's take a little trip into the land of what if's.
Some years back I picked up a copy of Dr. Emoto's "The Hidden Messages In Water". Some of you may be familiar with his work from the movie "What the (bleep) Do we Know".
Because I am super cool I knew about his work way before the movie came out. That has nothing to do with this post, I just wanted to point out how cool I was....back then.
In a brief nutshell Dr. Emoto's theory is that water interacts and absorbs the emotional state of its surroundings. He exposes identical samples of water to different situations audibly and/or visually (even meditation andwritten words) and then freezes the water. Once frozen he analyzes the crystal structure of the samples, and if his work is correct, he has some very drastic results. For example he exposes 2 identical samples to two different environments. One sample receives praise while another is spoken too harshly or ignored. When the two samples are compared after freezing the crystal pattern of the one that received the positive treatment forms a perfect snowflake structure with an organized branching system and balance, where as the crystal image of theof the mistreatedsample is unorganized and shows little resemblance to a "snowflake" structure.
OK, you got that? Treat water good it's pretty, treat water bad you fuck it all up.
Without reiterating Dr. Emoto's entire book the main points that lay on the bed of this information is that all living creatures are mostly made up of water. So if water is influenced by thoughts or surroundings then would it only make sense that it also affects our bodies. Let's look at a real life examples of how this principle is practiced and perhaps felt.
Holy water : A priest gives a vessel of water a blessing and then it is thought of as empowered by its believers. Dr. Emoto has also done experiments with shamans, priests and holy men from many different religions not only analyzing its structure before and after a blessing but also using the same blessings on large bodies of contaminated water and watching as the quality of the water improves. In theory this could also be lumped into the prayer healing genre if the person praying is in close proximity of the on being healed.
Plant Studies : Everyone has heard the tales of houseplants being subjected to different environments. One plant will get classical music, one heavy metal, one plant is spoken to kindly everyday while another is ignored. There are studies that show this is a myth, there are also studies that show this to be true. Again, we are off on a little trip here so for the sake of argument we are going to assume the latter.
At one of our weekly post-Trucker-practice discussions I brought this subject up. I was speaking about how the frozen structures lock in the emotional moment of the water. Our resident master-de-bater Hank posed the same question regarding salt. Like ice, it is a locked crystal structure and moving the theory from just water to everything, would it make sense that salt when formed would hold it's initial state? At the time I was staying on the train that salt is a locked structure from the get go and unlike water it is never a "free structure". We moved on from the discussion to talk about more important things like how Josh's new mustache was filling in nicely.
Because I am a super rich rock god with not much to do, I spent the next few days obsessed with this discussion. Based on our salt discussion, I kept coming back to another locked crystal formation, Quartz.
Quartz crystals are bad ass. We use them everyday and don't even realize it. Quartz has an ability to create and use energy. It's used for timing in our watches, computers and it is pretty ta-boot.
For thousands of years hippies from every generation have claimed to feel the different energies from different pieces of quartz. Different samples give different results. I would assume the same could be said in the electronic world that there are preferred sources for the quartz for different applications. Hmmmm...
Let's look at Salt and Quartz side by side:
Salt is made up of Sodium and Chlorine
Quartz is made up of Silicon and Oxygen
Hold my calls Annie, I am onto something here and I may not be coming back for a few weeks.
What I realized is that if Dr. Emoto's theory is TRUE, then he is WRONG. It is not the water storing the information, it is the Oxygen. Not only is quartz composed of oxygen, oxygen makes up over half of the quartz composition. So when the quartz is created what do you have? You would have the oxygen being locked in its given state and then it is wrapped in a conductive Silicon shell. Water is made up of Oxygen and Hydrogen. Unlike Quartz, water is of course a fluid, giving it the ability to have the oxygen to move freely and change according to its surrounding, having the intent be unfixed if you will. Just like the Silicon in the Quartz the Oxygen in the water is supported by a nice conductor, Hydrogen. So what we have are two different things that in simple terms could be looked at as "Intent conductors".
You'll get back ten folds of what you put out.
Think positive.
That place give me bad vibes.
Send that beautiful thought out to the world...
We've heard all these things. Some are wives tales, some our Guru mantras, some are on Oprah.
But what if they are true?
What if Oxygen has a component within it to store intent?
What if not only can that intent be altered by flowing in and out of our bodies lungs but what if could be altered by thoughts?
Yeah, Whoa.
Think of it this way. There is a tiny little piece of the oxygen that is a super fancy mood ring. You think something strong enough, your body transmits that in the air around you, (auras?) or through exhalation and the oxygens little mood ring changes accordingly. Let's look at some of the things that could be explained.
Ever heard someone say "They just sucked the energy right out of me, I'm exhausted."
For me personally, I have issues with some situations. Some would call it bad vibes shaking up my mojo...I call it "I need to get the hell out of here" syndrome. When I get into some situations I sometimes get the sudden bombardment of being very uncomfortable, sometimes to the point of being dizzy, patchy skin and on the verge of feeling like I am going to pass out. You could attribute this to anxiety or panic attack type things but the feelings I have are not that of panic but more of a smothering. People don't make me nervous, but what if their thoughts, emotions and intent do. One thing in particular I find interesting in my case is the patchy skin. What if there is a mechanism within our bodies to reject Oxygen that holds a negative intent? Could it be that certain people will not absorb or process Oxygen that our body deems inappropriate for us?
That's enough about me and my terrible, terrible mental issues. I think I will survive. Let's look a few real world applications if this theory is true.
Mob-Mentality: If a crowd becomes charged up enough and that intent is sent stronger and stronger through a group of people can it amplify and have influence over individuals bypassing their normal patterns of reason? If someone's body has a higher range of acceptance and a lower rate for Oxygen rejection are they more susceptible to being influenced by outside intent. Is this why some people who are referred to as "sensitives" have the "Get me the hell out of here" syndrome? The same could be said on the opposite end of the spectrum. When the air is rich with positive attitudes and influence you often hear people say "It felt like a wave of peace", "It was like we were all family" or "It feels very safe here".
Creepy places : What if air from the past has such a build up of intent in a certain location that the concentration of that intent is so charged that it takes a more powerful event to change it. Is this why some places always feel "creepy" until they have been blessed and then take on a new feeling? Think about that for a moment. If a place is one that is thought of being "creepy" how many people that enter that environment go into it thinking I am going to change it. Most of the time when we are in an uncomfortable environment do not think about creating change. In a spooky house for instance you will exude fear, aggression or anxiety. Feeding the beast if you will. If a "holy man" enters a space with the drive and concentration to create a powerful influx of a positive, over time they could they create a cascade effect where the new intent outnumbers the old. How would a concentration of emotion and intent help to explain ghost sightings? Is there an interaction between how information would be stored and its interaction with the electromagnetic spectrum? Remember we are working with intent wrapped in a electric conductor.
Mind reading, ESP, Jinxes : How do some secrets come to light through a "feeling" by others. Why do people say the same things at the same time without provocation, does de-ja-vu happen because it was meant to be or because it was made it be?
Prayer healing, Reiki, big fat hugs : Can concentrated and pure thoughts be transmitted at a high level from one individual to another through thought and made even stronger through touch? Can the intent be focused onto a certain area for healing purposes? Can it be focused to cause destruction?
I literally could keep going through the different everyday things that could be attributed to this theory. I have a lot of questions when I think about this little theory. Again while thinking about this I assume it to be true for the sake of argument.
So far in my inner debate I would have to think that the state of an Oxygens intent is locked until influenced by another, but if that new intent is outnumbered by the previous state in surrounding Oxygen then the newly changed intent will quickly be reverted back to the previous state strictly because of its surrounding Oxygen buddies.
Do intents cluster? Are similar Oxygen pieces attracted to others with the same intent or do they randomly run around until they hit a stronger force. If I am a happy intent and I hit a negative intent do we swap states? Do I just continue on until I meet a group of more than one? Is it like a series of bouncing balls that are constantly hitting each other and changing "colors" depending on the ratio of the influence?
How far can an intent travel? Does it rely on it's strength in numbers and to propagate? (concentration level of the source person(s) and number of individuals and the duration that participate in its creation)
What role does mass media and television influence the general state of thought even if an individual claims to not be influenced by outside opinions and judgments? Is it in the end out of their control just due to the level of saturation?
When Oxygen is created is it at birth pure? Can you purify the intent out of oxygen? (Through shocking electrically? Does Lightning or Ozone generators do a hard reset?)
So there you go, thats about all I can type without losing complete focus on the subject and drift away down the rabbit hole of possibilities. I know this stream of thoughts is by no-means a complete theory, more of a series of questions and holes....but that's what makes it fun.
I tell you what, it may all be bullshit but I find it a very healthy exercise in trippy thinking.
If you want to poo poo this whole theory as some crazed crap and you choose not to give it another thought, think about this other crazy incident:
Scientists were able to beam an atom a continent away and have it appear simultaneously in 2 locations.
Same object at 2 different locations at the exact same moment. In case you missed that...ONE object, not a copy, ONE object - TWO places thousands of miles apart.
Doesn't make a mood ring hidden inside of our O2 sound so nuts after all, now does it?
